PUNTA MONTERREY is the place where dreams come true. That is why we have extensive experience in tropical weddings, and we are here to help make your event an unforgettable moment. We are nestled in the northernmost tropical jungle on the American continent, home to hundreds of species of flora and fauna — our commitment is to protect this ecological reserve.

We have a wedding planner and a catalog of vendors who have worked with us, including music, dance floors, catering and bar, furniture, decoration, flowers, transportation, and much more.

Our facilities and ceremony area can accommodate weddings or events of up to 150 people maximum. Weddings of 52 people are our specialty.

PUNTA MONTERREY ECOLOGICAL RESERVE & COMMUNITY has witnessed many tropical weddings. We are now focused on low-impact ecological weddings, which is why the use of pyrotechnics and single-use disposable plastics — such as inflatable toys, flip-flops, confetti cannons, or reflective items — is not permitted.

Considerations

Punta Monterrey Resort hosts 12 weddings per year.
Punta Monterrey has the capacity to hold events of up to 52 people. For events larger than 52 people, it is necessary to hire a catering service with waitstaff and a bar.
Rates include lodging and 3 daily meals with a varied chef's menu. These prices do not include the wedding banquet, alcoholic beverages, or bar menu.
All rooms feature bioclimatic architecture and eco-technologies for water and energy conservation, a full bathroom, and a private terrace. The Master Suite Jaguar, Jungle Suites, and Bird Cabins include AC and a fan; the Palm Cabins have a fan only.
Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 12:00 PM. Lunch on the departure day (2:00–3:00 PM) is included.
The hotel has a satellite WiFi system in rooms and common areas, suitable for streaming. There is no cell phone signal at the hotel.
Due to the rainy season and geographical challenges, we host weddings in November, December, and from February through May.
For other events such as birthdays, celebrations, or similar gatherings, additional fees apply and house rules must be followed. We reserve the right to refuse events that exceed the venue's capacity or put the ecological reserve's balance at risk.

Requirements

Reserve 100% of the hotel for a minimum of 2 nights. For long weekends or public holidays, a minimum of 3 nights is required.
Event fee of $800 MXN per person.
The maximum end time for a wedding is 3:00 AM.
Maximum event capacity is 150 people. We have an ocean-front terrace to personalize the event and ceremony. Our specialty is weddings of 52 people.
Beer sales are exclusive to the PUNTA MONTERREY BAR.
Music volume must not exceed 80 decibels in order to avoid disturbing wildlife.
The hotel has a parking capacity of 16 spaces. For all weddings held at Punta Monterrey, a transportation service must be hired at an additional cost to shuttle guests who are not staying at the hotel. No exceptions.
Event setup and breakdown may begin after check-in and must be fully cleaned up before check-out.

Rates include taxes and invoicing is available.
We can connect you with a wedding planner, a civil registry judge, and other local vendors.

Not included

Transportation, additional furniture, decoration, glassware, dance floor, music, banquet, waitstaff, and bar service.
Ice for the event.

The most important thing is to have a set date. To hold the date, a 30% deposit of the total is required, along with signing the Service Agreement. An additional 20% must be paid 3 months before the event. The remaining 50% must be paid 1 month before the event. This is formalized with a signed contract, and corresponding payment receipts will be issued.

Punta Monterrey is not responsible for any accident occurring at sea or for any accident involving any guest or attendee under the influence of any substance.

For cancellations less than 3 months before the event: no refunds
